Hello again,
I write again to tell you a little about my trip on Sunday to Niterói, a city just across Guanabara Bay. It is a city of 450,000 inhabitants, ie, that Spain would be considered a big city. Until 1975 it was the capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro. After reading some information about the city, I was surprised to learn that is the third largest city with the Human Development Index higher, and the second most works of architect Brazilian Oscar Niemeyer . In fact, one of the motivatingyou by which we went (I will explain further who came to this county) to Niterói was to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art , designed by architect above.
Luis (my boss, to call it somehow), Remi, Maira (Italy), Laura, Alex, Maia, Kelly (Brazil), Michael (Australian), and I met at about 9.30 am Sunday morning in front of the house of Michael and Kelly (they are a marriage), just two blocks from my hostel. In many cars, we left Niterói, less than an hour from Rio. Trip by car is worth to mention the Rio-Niterói Bridge CHTMLXacute; an nothing special. Not that I regret having entered, and that only cost me 5 reais (about € 2.25) entry, and it never hurts to learn new things. Once out, following us out a few pictures, we drove to the nearby beach Itacoatiara. The truth is that the beach was incredible. It was not very big, but it was beautiful. And the temperature was perfect. Warmth, but not overwhelming. The waves were very strong, and almost broke the bank. In fact, more than once, trying to get in the water, a wave of upset me and made me fall. Pretty ridiculous. Imagine the scene. An uncle, there is no need for
Kisses and hugs to all,
Ricardo.
